About George

I am 62 years old. I have been interested in Electronics since I was 9 years old. I have taught computer programming, electronics, engineering. I have taught age ranges from 5 to 95. I will tell you if I can help you or not. But you have to apply yourself. I cannot do it for you.

I have been an Electronics Engineer since 1986. I have worked on many projects that involved travel, meeting people, and solving problems. If I had to do it over again, I would not change anyrthing.

I taught individuals to operate and program Apple ][ computers at my local Library because of the lack of Programming instructors. The computers were a donation by the Boys and Girls Club of Simi Valley, California. I was also President of the Simi Valley Apple Users Group. I later taught Electronics and Telemetry Tracking systems through my employers to Military and Civilian personnel. I also taught basic Electronics as a Laboratry Coordinator at the University of Kansas - Aerospace Engineering department.

Associate of Science Electronics and Communications Technology - DeVry University. I am currently attending Arizona State University to complete my Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering degree. I have been involved in Electronics and Scince for over 45 years.

About the lesson

I first try to determine what courses they are involved with, what grade they are getting, and where they think they have a problem. After that, I try to help them through the process. I suggest mnemonics, sayings, or anything that will allow them to retain the theory involved with the problems. I try to relate real-life problems with the ones they are experiencing. Practical problems and approaches.

Children as young as 5, Handicapped, Teenagers, College Undergraduates and Graduates, Military, Civilian, Government, Foreign students and personnel.

Meet with several to see if you make a connection with them or not. Pqart of the effort of learning is to have a good Mentor. Not everyone is a good fit. Sometimes the chemistry is not right. Don't settle one on until you do.

I have been working an old Amateur Radio Linear amplifier that required a lot of work. I have completed refurbishing it as well as other projects. It is now operational, and I have shared videos and pictures of my work with others that might benefit from the information. Several people have commented about the progress.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
1. Define the best time and place that is convenient for both the student and the Tutor. 2. What specifically is where they are having an issue. Basic math questions? Word problems? Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction? Fractions? Geometric shapes? Trigonometry formulas? 3. How successful have your attempts been? 4. How far behind are you currently in your work assignments?
