About Evangelina

I want to help students achieve their academic goals and not give up! You are not alone in this educational journey; with the right support you will be just fine. I aim to help students be at their full potential and for them to have a "never giving" up mindset. With a positive learning environment as well, I hope to contribute whatever I can for you!

In past experiences, I have worked as a student teacher assistant during my senior year of high school at multiple elementary schools. I also have three younger brothers that I helped around with, so I have plenty of patience from them.

In the future, I want to be a bilingual elementary school teacher! That's my goal and I am currently in my second year at Collin College.

Some things about me:

- I speak some Spanish

- I write songs (love music)

- I love creative activities

- I hold a 4.0 GPA in college right now and am part of an honors society

- I am a secretary treasurer at my church

- I work as a teacher aid and a afternoon teacher with 4 year olds at a private school!

This year, it's my first year being able to work as a teacher and to firsthand experience a class of my own, it's been such a blessing! I love seeing the change with time in each student and getting to understand them as well. I also enjoy how children are genuine in their feedback and how also, they are very sweet things overall!

I have my experiences from high school working at field sites and then being informed with college courses about classroom strategies and more!

I am also trained at my job with early childhood courses which helps me!

About the lesson

Well, since I have not tutored before, I will figure this out as I go!

But firstly, I would want to get to know the student that I am working with. Maybe go over material and the objectives for that class as well. I would ask them questions about their preferences in learning to see what activities I could figure out for additional support.

Hire a teacher that is going to push you to do your best work! Do not hire someone who is not there for you (I will explain this more). There will be people who care more about the money than they do about the work they are doing. In this, it hurts the students as they are not feeling the best and do not perform well whenever the other side lacks what they need. I have experienced this myself during my violin lessons in high school and would not want that for any student.
