About Lilli

Hello! My name is Lilli, I'm a graduate of Austin Community College and pursuing a Bachelor's in Science of Psychology. I served 2 years as an academic mentor and tutor in RRISD, demonstrating great responsibility and dedication to growth in my students as a student myself. I volunteered a year as a Teacher's Assistant (TA) for a 5th grade math and science classroom at Union Hill Elementary, and in my senior year, I worked as a TA for grades 9-10 AVID classes at Round Rock Early College High School, where I faciliated small-group, peer-led instruction through a college readiness program. My skills including fostering critical thinking in content area through inquiry as my tutoring experience was framed within a nationwide college-readiness program, and I have tutored in PreAP and advanced classes (English, Algebra I and II, World Geography, Journalism). In addition, I have also instructed dance for 3 years and am a passionate and enthusiastic tutor.

It's important for me to have an impact on the students and to see their academic and personal growth, as well as nurturing their confidence. I love being able to be a part of student's life, as I myself, as a member of the first graduating class from my high school, took the responsibility of leadership and being a positive role model seriously. I only strive to replicate this and touch other's lives and nurture their academic growth through tutoring online as I have in-person as a TA and in my community involvement.

I first get to know their current level of understanding on a topic, then ask questions to deepen student comprehension and make real connections to the world. This way, they will finish the lesson not only being able to answer questions related to the content, but understand its relevance.
