About Rodrigo

My goal as a tutor is to help the student become an independent learner. I provide homework help and topic lessons, but my focus is on making sure students have a strong grasp of math fundamentals and are able to think abstractly to solve problems rather than just "memorizing steps".

I am passionate about life-long learning, and it gives me much joy to see students gain the confidence and skills to succeed in the their classes.

I got my start by helping my classmates in my engineering and physics classes.

I have two years of tutoring experience.

I have a level-2 certification from the College Reading and Learning Association.

I am a senior in Mechanical Engineering at Utah Valley University.

About the lesson

I first try to gauge the student's understanding of the topic, and their learning style. The structure of the session will be highly dependent on those two factors.

Most of my experience has been with college students, but I look forward to working with students of all types.

Find someone who has a personality you enjoy! If you are comfortable with the tutor you won't hesitate to ask questions or make suggestions.
