About Tina

Hello, I'm a second year college student, attending a Cal State near me. I've taken various classes since my time here and am well-versed with English, Math and Sciences (in particular biology) While I would like to be hired, I try my best to relay what I feel confident in knowing to you! I can assure that there's nothing less of the quality of work and effort I will put in to making sure you succeed. Thank you!

After I would help my friends and classmates in my groupchat, I realized that I could earn a bit off of my effort in doing so if I had to put more time commitment into helping. So, I let some of my classmates know that I offered tutoring, reached out to others and set a low price for hour sessions where we'd go over material learned the week prior in class. Since then, I've realized how much fun it is to create lesson plans, help others understand the material and so on.

I'm a second year student and I've taken math classes since my time in college till Calculus I. On the side, I tutor a few of my classmates and create smaller lesson plans to help with what we currently go over, meaning I have some experience with tutoring.

About the lesson

Before starting, I'd like to get to know how well you understand the topic of focus. After this, I would ask about which topics you would like to go over, then prepare a lesson plan to suit those topics. We will go over concepts and example problems from then on! :)

I've worked with people who have a harder time grasping class material but have found it easier to understand since working with me. I'm happy I can help others see material in a way that is simplier and more efficient.

Before looking into a teacher/tutor, I would try to compile a list of topics which I find confusing so I can narrow down what kind of help is needed.

When one of my classmates, who I had been tutoring regularly, reached out to me, they said their average grade on weekly quizzes went up due to my help. Once I heard that, I was happy and appreciative that I could help.

The standard pricing for my lessons will depend on the type of content we go over, but for lessons with 1-2 topics, I tend to charge $20/hour. Please, reach out to me beforehand and we can talk more about this.
