About Amanda
I am passionate about helping students realize their potential in subjects that are commonly struggled with. I also understand that financial strain this can cause, which is why I charge below the standard rates and charge $30 an hour. I have had success helping students that were failing pass and have a deeper understanding of classes such as all levels of algebra, AP Statistics, calculus, and more. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout my high school career. I have also received an AP Scholar award with distinctions for passing with a 4 or higher in 4 AP courses, such as a five in AP Statistics, and four in AP Chemistry, AP Physics, and AP Seminar. i am also an active member of National Honor Society and National Science Honor Society. I am pursuing a career in Actuarial Science due to my passion for math.

I assess their skill level and determine where the gaps in understanding are. From there I collaborate with the students/parents to create a personalized study program that consists of practice problems and periodical tests of their progress.
I have worked with all types of students such as helping prepare college students for the math section of the GRE. In addition, I also helped teach Spanish at the collegiate level. Another aspect that is important when working with certain students is working through test anxiety.
