About Stan
Stan Halstead is studying for a Mathematics PhD at Michigan State University and has a Bachelors of Science in Math with Honors from the University of Michigan. He has six years of experience with tutoring in math and is currently teaching at MSU. He has consistently been told by students that his explanations are clear and illuminating, even where other tutors were unable to. He is always happy to provide a student with new understanding and ways of thinking whether in algebra, calculus, or even differential equations. To him, there is nothing better than seeing a student overcome their problems with their studies. Whatever the student needs, he will provide it promptly and excellently.
I love the process of seeing someone go from confused on how a problem works and coming to a new understanding, so that they can now work on their own.
I've been an academia for several years now, it's a natural part of the territory.
I am currently a math PhD student at Michigan State University. I've worked as a tutor for years, both at MSU and the University of Michigan.
