About Hannah

I love helping students learn material that they're struggling with and see the light bulb flick on when they realize they understand. It's so wholesome :)

I've been doing this for about 4-5 years in school, at people's homes, or my own home.

I started taking college courses as a freshman in highschool and graduated with my associates in science.

I got started by being my little brother's teacher throughout middle school and now just his tutor in high school. Then I started helping classmates at school in mostly math and English.

I have an associates in science and partly completed an associates in business by the age of 18.

About the lesson

I typically watch them at first to see just how their brain works and give them pointers/small lessons before I truly begin teaching big things just so that I can be sure that they way I explain or teach them fits how they personally learn things. This also includes asking them questions about certain problems to see how much they understand.

I worked with independent and dependent, I've also had plenty of experience with students with ADHD and minor learning disabilities. All students were great learners despite any difficulties they might have.

Go with someone you're not afraid to talk to! If you're nervous to talk to them in anyway, you won't be comfortable enough to really open yourself up to learn. It's very important that you feel safe and comfortable enough to relax. Also go with someone who makes you feel confident rather than make you doubt yourself.

I'm currently at a horse show competing with my horse and I'm having an absolute blast! Truly one of the greatest experiences I've had recently.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
They should be asking any question that comes to mind! Be sure to ask if the tutor knows how to do the subject in question so that it's not a situation of both people learning it.
