Hello, I'm Juliana Lopez, and it's a pleasure to introduce myself to you. With a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Mathematical Sciences, I bring a strong foundation of knowledge to the table. I started teaching during my undergraduate studies as a college tutor, helping my peers with various subjects. This experience sparked my passion for teaching and led me to freelance, where I assisted middle school and high school students with their classes and preparation for placement tests. Over time, I expanded my services to include tutoring for standardized tests such as the SAT and GED. My journey in teaching has continued to grow, and I now serve as an after-school and weekend teacher/tutor for a class of over 20 students from middle school, high school, and college

I hold a Bachelor's of Sciences in Finance and Mathematical Sciences and have recently graduated with a Master's in Financial Engineering. In addition to my formal education, I have over six years of experience as a tutor in mathematics, finance, accounting, and other numerical courses. Currently, in addition to private tutoring, I serve as an after-school and weekend teacher/tutor for a class of over 20 students, including middle school, high school, and college students. This extensive background in both education and practical tutoring has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to effectively support my students.

About the lesson

When working with a new student, I like to schedule a first session to get to know them and understand their needs. I usually prepare a placement test or quiz to assess their current level and identify any gaps in their knowledge. During this initial session, we go over the basics of the class and I listen to the student's specific needs and goals. I make sure they have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of the class or test they are preparing for. Once we have established this foundation, we start working through the topics, practice exercises, and any homework or classwork they need assistance with. This approach helps ensure that the student builds confidence and competence in the subject matter.

I've worked with a diverse range of students throughout my tutoring career. I began as a college tutor during my undergraduate studies, helping my peers with various subjects.
