About Delaney

I am currently a high school math teacher for English Language Learners in Algebra and Geometry at an international school in Lawrence, MA but in the previous year I taught both Honors Algebra II and Geometry at a regional high school in Western Massachusetts. I have a lot of experience teaching remotely due to the current pandemic so I am very familiar with creating lessons. I currently live close to Boston but I am available to tutor virtually in the evenings.

Last year, I was a student teacher at a rural regional public school in western Massachusetts and prior to the school closures due to the pandemic, I was teaching 5 classes of honors Algebra II and Geometry, all of which I then managed in a remote setting. Currently, I am working at an international school in Lawrence, MA for students who are newcomers to the country. I teach 6 classes for a variety of levels and english knowledge. I believe that both of these experiences have helped mold me into a well rounded teacher in that I am able to meet the diverse needs of students and provide them with an exceptional education as well as acting as an additional resource to meet their social emotional needs. I worked at a preschool in the summers for eight years starting from the age of 10. During those years, I created in depth lesson plans that provided students with a hands on learning experience in which they learned through art, music, science experiments, and a kinesthetic approach to learning mathematics. I have a large amount of early childhood education experience as well as experience at the secondary level to teach your children as they reach the elementary level and beyond.
