About Chris

My strength is tutoring Algebra but I'm able to refresh on more advanced areas of math. The approach is to spend all or most of the time working together on your math problems themselves. I prefer to do the tutoring online by Zoom (or something similar). We will improve your grades and you will be better equipped with practical math skills like estimations and logic. I also have experience as a former fulltime high-school science teacher tutoring students for the Ohio Graduaton Test.

I enjoy the immediate rewards of the student becoming better at their math work. It's an intellectually stimulating job for both the teacher and pupil. When better homework and tests raise grades, it feels rewarding to me also.

About the lesson

I like to identify the teacher's expectations, how the student feels about them, and begin from there. The help I give is almost entirely by working homework problems together or review problems for quizzes/tests.
