About Sterling

I am a trained classroom teacher with 5+ years of experience and hold a Master's degree in both General Education and Special education. While there is profit attached, I am truly here to serve the students, especially in the midst of a pandemic. My hours and pricing are flexible.

I truly enjoy interacting with students and helping them to achieve their goals. My homebase is in Washington, DC where I taught in the DCPS system. I now work for a non-profit organization, training and assisting teachers to be great in the classroom while also developing intentional and responsive curriculum.

Learning in 2020 is truly an art form both for teachers and students alike. I hope to provide tailored experiences for the students that I serve so that they may find success in their academic and personal confidence.

I am a trained and certified educator. I have a Master's degree in both general education and special education and have experience teaching students in grades K-7.

About the lesson

I generally spend the first session getting to know the student and assessing their comfortability with the content. From there, I try to gradually build-up the student by offering a mix of challenging and low-stakes work.

I have worked with primarily 3-5th grade students, but have experience working with students in grades K-7. This includes both general and special education students.
