About Anabella

I am a self-employed college student who loves to teach and helps kids improve in their academics. I was in their shoes once as a student and still am, so helping them is more than a pleasure to me. I have been tutoring children of all ages for 5 years and counting. I am attending Nova Southeastern University on a full scholarship, doing a Biology major, and an Exercise and Sports Science minor. I am passionate about learning and helping others, and hope to be able to help your child reach their maximum success!

Every time I tutor, I love seeing the progress my students make academically throughout the time I am with them, not only grade-wise but with their studying habits and how they handle themselves as students.

I originally took tutoring as a small side job when I was in high school, but I bonded so well with all my students and enjoyed teaching them so much that I decided to take it as my part-time job.

Since I am currently a college student, I am constantly learning new material and new ways to learn, which in return I am able to apply with my students. Along with that, I am proficient in Word, Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

About the lesson

When starting with a new student, I like to speak with them and their parent to see what their needs are and what outcomes they hope to see with tutoring. Then I like to see how the child works, and what is the learning style that fits them best. Lastly, I figure out a system that works best for the child in order to achieve their maximum understanding of the concept being discussed.

I have worked with children of grades K-12. I also have experience with bilingual students (Spanish speakers) since I am fluent in Spanish and special needs children.

I would advise them to hire someone that speaks to their needs academically, and someone they feel they could connect with while learning. As a student myself I always found the learning process easier with someone that I was able to understand and bond with.

They need to be clear and concise about what their needs are in order for the teacher to be able to create a system that will help them best.

My standard pricing system is $25 per hour and $20 per hour if more than one hour of tutoring is done.

This pricing system will fluctuate depending on the number of children being tutored at a time.
