That "ah-ha" moment of clarity when one of my students understands a topic is thrilling. I love helping them to enjoy learning understand subject matter in the same way that I do.

About the lesson

I'll ask my students to fill out a quick form I use to get to know them. The form includes questions about their area of study they need assistance with, favorite/least favorite courses, hobbies, and a few others. After this, I'll schedule a short preliminary meeting (5-10 minutes) to discuss the student's specific needs in a more in depth manner. Once I have my student's goals in mind, I will review the material thoroughly and develop lesson structures for our time together.

I have worked primarily with high school and middle school students across a broad spectrum of subject matters.

Jack helped me greatly while I was struggling in AP Chemistry. He guided me through the rigorous homework and actually helped me learn the material, rather than just quickly helping me to get through my work while I still don’t understand it.

I usually charge between $30-50 an hour, depending on the subject matter. For instance, tutoring a simpler subject such as Algebra 1 would be on the lower end, but tutoring a more complex subject such as BC Calculus would be on the upper end. Prices can be discussed with each student on a case-by-case basis.
