About Jayme

I am a full time band teacher and I have the best job in the world! I make music with people! Private instruction has always been a passion of mine, being able to do it in a remote world and work with musicians across the world is incredible!

I began giving private lessons while in college back in 2005. I began my own studio after graduating in 2011.

I have a masters in music education and I have been teaching band and ukulele for 9 years in the public school system.

About the lesson

The first couple of lessons the student and I will get to know each other a bit and I will learn what their goals are as a musicians. These 2 things are crucial in the success of the education process.

I've worked with students from 7-65 years young!

I would suggest asking questions. Never be afraid to ask and dig deep.

This is why I absolutely love what I do, choosing 1 isn't possible. When I am able to make music with another person and see the happiness on their face, my heart is joyful.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What do they want for themselves as a musician? What are their goals and their aspirations? Why are they seeking private lessons?
