About Danielle

Getting to know each student as an individual, I am able to personalize instruction to best promote confidence, mastery and success! Not only do I have a passion for mathematics, but I am also dedicated to building a good rapport with my students. This allows us to work as a team, enjoying the learning experience and seeing the greatest possible success.

I also am thoroughly qualified as I have a California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Mathematics, as well as 7 years of classroom teaching experience and 12 years of private tutoring experience.

Teaching has been my career-goal since I was a kid!

About the lesson

Getting to know the student and their needs is fundamental to success. Generally, I will start by asking the student what their specific needs are. As we begin working, I will identify gaps in knowledge/understanding and will spend time filling those gaps as necessary. With mathematics, it is extremely difficult to find success if a student's foundational knowledge is lacking. Once this foundation is solid, we then advance to focus on goal-specific topics as necessary.

I have worked with students from all different needs, coming from all backgrounds! I have training and experience with quite a diverse set of students.

Spend a few sessions getting to know your tutor, and be patient with the experience. but, don't settle for someone that you don't "click" with!
