About Kevin
I have taught voice lessons for over 40 years. I am able to help singers sung with less effort, expand their range, and improve their singing in several languages. I am also available for piano and organ lessons. My degrees are in piano and I have played the organ in churches since I was 13 years old.
I love the human voice and, as a teacher, enjoy hearing my students improve in performance and confidence. I also believe that a foundation in piano is indispensable as a part of a singer's training.
I have taught voice for over 40 years. While in college, I worked as an opera coach, as I have ever since. I also took classes in vocal pedagogy and observed the lessons of many different teachers in studio and master classes. My students have sung internationally and I have been proud to have had several contest winners among them.

We talk about goals and determine if I can help the student. Then we vocalize to check range, quality, and for any things needing improvement. I try to initiate change, if necessary in the first lesson and try to improve the range right away, if necessary.
I have worked with students at all levels from beginners in high school, through college students, and up to international opera singers.
It is a relationship where you need to trust the person you're with and feel comfortable. Feelings about your voice can be very personal.
