About Tiffany

Hello! I'm Tiffany, a current Music Theater and Music Education major at Carthage College. I've been singing in choirs for almost 10 years and have been performing in musicals for the past 6 years. Some of my favorite roles I've gotten to play are Chiffon in Little Shop of Horrors and Ms. Darbus in High School Musical. In lessons, we would work on any rep you want to bring in and work on in addition to finding new rep to explore your voice! Although I mainly teach music theatre this doesn't mean I can't help work through any classical text. I've been teaching lessons to a couple of younger children but since I've moved to the Kenosha area I wanted to expand my reach and get back into teaching!

I've taken voice lessons for the past four years and am still taking them! As vocalists, we never stop learning, and so I'm still filling up my toolbox of things to share with you! I also have about 10 years of choir experience and am currently in a treble choir on campus. I'm a music education and musical theatre major, so I'm still learning but this has set me up with a solid foundation to teach lessons!

About the lesson

The first lesson is very casual. We discuss your goals for lessons and sing some warm ups. If you bring any rep in, to begin with, we can jump right into working on it, but if you're coming in with a blank slate then we can work on assigning rep! After the first lesson, we will start every lesson off with a warm-up. Your warm-up is where a lot of your training takes place, it sets up your toolbox of tricks to bring into your pieces in addition to giving me a glimpse at where your voice is on a given day. From there we will jump right into working on rep. As long as you come in ready to work I am ready to provide all my resources to helping you get better.

I've worked with middle and high school students but I'm willing to go younger and older as long as everyone comes ready to work.
