For me, there is perhaps nothing more rewarding than helping someone learn and develop. I find myself enjoying the moments when something clicks, an "a-ha" moment is reached, or a student's effort is rewarded with improved performance.

Both of my parents were involved in education. As I went through school, I realized that I enjoyed helping people learn and understand challenging concepts.

I have over seven years worth of experience working as an educator. I spent 3 years as a full-time sub and then another four years working full-time in my own classroom. I hold licenses in three different states, which are all current and up-to-date.

About the lesson

In working with a new student, I typically like to get to know them before engaging in the learning process. I like to build rapport and let them get to know me as well. Typically, I will speak with parents to address their concerns, speak with the student, and then develop a plan of attack to figure out the best course of action.

I have worked with a wide range of students. In terms of age, I have worked with kids in kindergarten all the way up into college.

Pricing depends upon the nature of the work. If the client is looking for support on their current assigned coursework:

1-2 sessions per month: $60/hr

3+sessions per month: $50/hr

If the client is looking for me to provide supplemental materials that I must design and create:

1-2 sessions per month: $80/hr

3+ sessions per month: $70/hr

*20/hr labor charge included for collecting and organizing materials.
