About Elaudis

My service stands out because I am detail-oriented and proactive. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and this helps me work with different populations. I like helping students succeed.

I have been in the field of Education for about seven years. Started as a Infant Lead Teacher. Covered in different classrooms and age groups throughout the years. I am currently working as a Teaching Assistant for first grade in a charter school in the Bronx, NY.

What I enjoy about my work is helping students stay focus on their tasks. I am currently working with a seventh grader that I catching up with old homework, while doing her daily homework and so far she has been turning in her late assignments and getting credit.

I started in 2015 working as an Infant/Toddler Lead teacher. Then got promoted to Preschool Lead teacher. After that went to work for another company as a Teaching Assistant. I started working in a charter school in August 2021 as a first grade Teaching Assistant.

I have an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, and a Bachelors degree in Psychology. Also, I am a Certified Teacher Assistant.

About the lesson

I speak with the parent first. Introduce myself. Then ask the parent how does the student needs help. We coordinate when I can speak with the student according to their schedule. Then we have the first meeting. I keep parents updated about the student's progress.

I have worked with students with EIP's. Also, with students from different socio-economic and racial backgrounds.

I would advice the student to be honest about their learning and academic goals, their strengths and weaknesses because that is going to be the only way we can work together.

I enjoy baking.
