About Kira
When I worked for Cady Studios I was responsible for training ~40 new photographers, and assisted our head of training in Orlando in his lessons as well. I took a group of people with little or no photography experience and in a few short lessons equipped them with the skill sets necessary to become the successful sports, events, concert, and portrait photographers that they are today.
I have worked for Creative Entertainment Media, Cady Studios, and have studied in the Bachelors Fine Art Film program at the University of Central Florida. All of these experiences have helped me stand out in producing high quality images.

Typically I like to start be talking to the student about the following points:
Goals in their personal photography
Experience so far, and familiarity with elements of composition, exposure, and the technical features of a DLSR or mirrorless camera.
I have worked with students ranging in age from 10-65.
My advice is look for someone who knows manual settings. Many people are able to pickup a camera and flick it into portrait mode and go from there-but this doesn't give you a foundation on which to start shooting your own visions. Often times photos shot in preset camera modes will miss the mark on capturing a moment in exactly the way you wanted. Always look out for yourself when someone claims to be a professional photographer but doesn't understand aperture, ISO, and shutter speed.
A couple weeks ago I was transitioning out of studio photography and into freelance work so I could focus on finishing my education. This was incredibly difficult emotionally, since I was so proud of the work I had done to build an amazing and talented team of studio photographers. The same day that my transition started I got a surprise call from a young woman I had taught photography. She called me from a country music festival to tell me she had been invited by Rodney Atkins to take his live concert photography. When we first met she had no photography experience at all. The pride in her voice and her words of gratitude and love brought me to tears.
I want to create that experience for more people.

Details
If a student would prefer to only have a couple of lecture sessions then the pricing is $75 for one hour long lesson, or $120 for two hour long lessons and one photography "fieldtrip" to a discussed location around central Florida.
If a student would like to do several meetups that involve more hands on and on location shoots then the pricing is $200 for one hour long lesson and then three field trips for hands on practice.
If the student invites/refers a friend then I know $25 off of their price for every person referred.
I am able to do deposit based pay, so that a student can pay me a $50 deposit prior to a lesson, and then pay the rest in pre-discussed amount after our following lessons.
