About Lori

Singing is a personal matter, so at Lori’s Voice Studio, I make it a priority to foster a relaxed, safe, and accepting environment for you to be your unique self. We get down to the root of your singing and performing needs to help you sound your best and feel confident in your own abilities and hard work. In addition to online voice lessons, I also teach singers how to accompany themselves on piano and/or ukulele. I help young singers find their voice by improving their mindset, vocal technique, and performance skills so they can confidently create the music they love. The "ah-ha!" moments that happen daily in lessons. I love teaching and guiding students to discover themselves as educated musicians!

I have a Master of Music from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Music from Oklahoma City University. I studied Musical Theater, Classical Literature, Opera, and Piano.

About the lesson

I mostly teach middle to high school ages. I help students who are interested in genres including musical theater, pop/contemporary, competitive singing, singer-songwriter, sight-reading, and more.

We recently had a coffeehouse performance. Four of my students have been studying voice with me for a few years now. We changed to an online format back in October, which was new for all of us! We came together in person for a pop-up concert a few weeks ago and they rocked it! 🎸

🎹 Many students were showcasing their newest learned skill of accompanying their own singing.🎙
✅ Through online lessons, practice, and perseverance they succeeded with flying colors🌠
💜 It was so exciting and what an accomplishment for these four ladies!

A

I highly recommend using Lori’s voice studio. Helped me feel comfortable exploring the idea of singing while playing guitar. The daily technique exercise she recommended gave me a lot of confidence.
