About Cheng
As a international award winning pianist, I have 6 years of teaching experience for working with students from age of 5 till 60. I love working with people from different background, and beginning students are welcome. As a Steinway STEP teacher, I have students perform with orchestra every year in Boston University, and Rockport Music-Shalin Liu Performance Center. My mission is to work with people who really love music to reach their goal, and to have meaningful experience in their musical journey. I also offer music theory, history and aural skills lessons.
I offer instruction of piano, music theory, music history, solfege to both young children and adult, as well as advanced and conservatory level students.
I have a Bachelor of Music in piano performance from Oberlin Conservatory of Music. Master of Music, and performance diploma in piano performance from Boston Conservatory at Berklee

My teaching evolve with different approach with students with different background. If he or she is a beginning students, the lesson will go with a slow, relaxing pace with effective learning. If he or she is a student with few years of experience. I will approach the lessons with technique training. My goal is to help students to play more challenging pieces with ease, and confident.
