About Rebecca
The Nakamuras teach private piano, guitar, flute, and music theory lessons in El Cajon, CA (San Diego County). They offer half-hour lessons for beginners, intermediate, and advanced students. 45-minute and hour-long lessons may also be arranged and are recommended for older and/or more advanced students. A FREE trial lesson/consultation is offered! Both Rebecca and Masashi Alex have a Bachelor of Music degree from San Diego State University, with an emphasis in Piano: Professional Studies. They have been teaching professionally since February 2008, when MuzikAdict Piano Studio was established. They are members of the Music Teacher's Association of California (MTAC), San Diego branch. Ask how students can join the Certificate of Merit program sponsored by MTAC! The goals of the program are: To provide a systematic and comprehensive plan for developing: ~Music theory ~Performance skills ~Technique ~Ear training ~Sight-reading ~Developing practical goals to help students maintain a steady and focused approach to their musical studies. ~Encouraging students to strive for musical excellence. ~Creating opportunities where students can share their music with others.
We both earned our Bachelor of Music degree with an emphasis in Piano: Professional Studies, including training in pedagogy and keyboard literature from SDSU, and have nearly 20 years of private teaching experience.
Masashi Alex also teaches music classes to 4th through 8th graders at The Heights Charter School.
