About Daniel

Growing up, my family could never afford a tutor. Throughout high school and now college, I fine-tuned my study strategies and habits while preparing for AP tests, SAT/ACT, and college-level examinations. I hope that I can help students who were in my situation develop study methods that are tailored to their personalities. Hopefully, with some guidance on my part, students may avoid many of the mistakes I made without a mentor throughout high school and college. In terms of qualifications, I graduated salutatorian from my high school with a GPA of 4.57, scored a 35 on my ACT and a 1560 on my SAT, and was named a National Merit Finalist and AP Scholar with distinction. I am about to graduate from Centre College with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology finishing with a GPA of 3.93 (summa cum laude, highest honors).

I simply love helping students finally "click" when studying a new subject. It is motivating to see them gain the confidence that is so important when in school.

I grew up with a younger sister and my parents essentially assigned me to be her tutor! Although I did not know it at the time, I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent teaching and mentoring her throughout middle and high school.

I am a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major at Centre College in Danville, KY. Centre College is known for its rigorous academics and is regarded as one of the top liberal arts colleges in the region. As of Fall 2021, my current GPA is 3.93 and I am on track to graduate summa cum laude (highest honors). Furthermore, I have extensive experience trying out new study methods over my four years in college and have honed in on the methods that work best for students.

About the lesson

I first try to understand the primary areas the student struggles with. From that point, I assess the study strategies that the student has been using and suggest ways to build off their initial plan or try a completely new study method.

Grades 6 to College level.
