Mr. Obie is an incredible piano teacher. Not only is he a gifted musician but he is a truly gifted teacher. Obie makes piano fun for our 10-year old son. He finds what interests the kids (in my son's case - football) and talks to them about their interests before the lesson begins. My son not only looks forward to the lessons but enjoys practicing piano because Obie has him playing music that he enjoys. My son has progressed so much in piano and it is all because of Obie. He is so invested in each child and their musical progression- 100% recommend Obie - he is the best.

Mr. Obie is an absolutely amazing music teacher and has become like a member of our family. Obie has been working with our 10 year-old son for over two years on piano and we could not be happier. Obie is a testament to teaching kids that not only is it cool to play piano (among his many instruments), but it’s so much fun. There’s nobody I would rather have instructing my son than Obie and there is nobody our son would rather learn from. He looks forward to his weekly piano/fantasy football/lacrosse/yo-yo lessons with Obie.

Our son began working with Obie as a six year old in 2020. We were instantly amazed at Obie’s ability to connect with our son and teach him virtually. Not only does Obie convey the fundamentals, he makes a point to pick pieces that are in line with our son’s interests and musical tastes. We appreciate Obie’s commitment to our son’s musical development and also appreciate his strong rapport with his students—and his good humor!

Obie has been working with our 11 year old daughter for less than 2 years. In that time, we have seen her skills and confidence at the piano grow. Even more, we have seen a direct correlation in her overall skills and confidence in life. We couldn't be happier with the Obie's manner, tone and style as an instructor. He has a way of pushing our daughter to her capabilities without overwhelming her. We would highly recommend him.

Gustave has been teaching piano lessons to my 8 year old for 2+ years. In addition to being an expert in music Gustave is also an expert in teaching others how to play. There have been many instances where my boy had challenges learning more complex pieces but Gustave is always able to break it down in the simplest terms to enable learning. My boy has progressed immensely in this program, I could not recommend Gustave as an instructor more.

My 10-year-old son has been taking piano lessons with Obie for a few years. Obie's lessons are fundamental and also creative and, most importantly, engaging -- which I know is a challenge given how learning new material can be frustrating for kids. He is a gentle and encouraging teacher. He has high hopes for the musician in my son, and I appreciate that!

Obies is a knowledgeable, energetic and fun teacher who imparts good techniques and at the same time instills a lifelong appreciation of music. He is extremely professional and responsive yet warm in his communication style. I would certainly recommend him to any one who has always wanted to learn piano but never got around to it like myself. Better late than never. I am looking forward to and enjoying every lesson as my journey in this musical adventure embarks!
