About Kevin

I have 6 1/2 years of higher education at two top schools on full scholarship. I strive to round my students out as musicians though performance and the theory behind performance! Join me and we will make music!

Everything. Quite literally everything. Teachers shape and change the world.

I’ve been teaching since I was 15 years old. My father is a band director, and had several of his students study with me on the side to help with solo/ensemble or even college auditions!

6.5 years of higher education at MSU and WSU on full musical and academic scholarships.

About the lesson

Every student is different, from my 10-year-olds, to my 70-year-olds, each student requires his or her own personal touch. This is why I strive to develop a curriculum in which each student can Flourish. I firmly believe that not everyone learns the same way and it’s my job to find your favorite method!

If you can name it, I’ve worked with it!

Perfect! I'm one of Kevin's composition students. He provides instruction necessary for developing my craft, but also leaves room for me to find my own personal voice as a composer.

Mr. Phillips was one of our band camp instructors. Not only did the kids learn a ton about brass instruments and music, but they had a lot fun while doing it!
