About Claudia

Hello,

My name is Claudia Cossio, I've been teaching in the Clear Lake Area since 2002.

My Studio is a great fit for those students and parents who enjoy a friendly and unique environment where students can chose between Private Lessons or Piano Lab and learn about Music Literatureally in addition to get good techniques to play the piano whether your goal is to become a professional Pianist or just have the best hobby a person could have in my opinion.

My passion is piano and I've always been a natural teacher. It's very rewarding seeing how students evolve from knowing nothing about music to read on their own their favorite pieces. I like to have fun with them whIle they learn and that makes them to enjoy the lesson and see it as a hobby more than an obligation. That's the reason why they continue even when gets hard.

I've been teaching for 15 years and I have seeing my students progress and how all of them are proud of themselves. I'm looking forward to work with more and more children that are close or are willing to drive to the Clear Lake area. It's worth I promise!

About the lesson

What I do during the first 8 lesons, which are very important, is really making the Student understand how important posture, finger position, wrist movement are, in order to start good habits for good technic from the very beginning.

Rhythm is a very important issue for me, specially when they start playing very simple patterns, that's the time when we need to push for perfect sence of Rhythm.
