About Dan
Dan began his musical career playing piano/guitar at Hosanna church in Lakeville where he started playing on the worship team at the age of 12. Dan would go on to play and sing professionally for a contemporary christian band and toured professionally full-time with the popular Midwest band called The Johnny Holm band. Dan has recorded professionally in studios in Minneapolis and has performed with studio musicians and other professionals in Nashville, Tennessee. Dan currently resides back in the South Metro area of the Twin Cities and has a passion for inspiring new and current musicians. Dan's goal is to work with acoutic guitar players and piano/keyboard players to help them better develop their skills with the ultimate goal of preparing them to play in a band or on a worship team. Dan is knowledgeable in the latest technology often used by professional musicians using: Main Stage 3, Ableton Live and Logic Pro X for recording.
Accomplished musician with over 27 years experience playing live and performing. Dan was trained classically and transitioned by learning to play with a band and to perform indivudually while singing and playing at the same time. This technique is often not able to be done by individuals who are classically trained and individuals who can only read sheet music. Dan learned to incorpate what he heard on the radio and to learned how to perform his favorite songs without the need to have sheet music in front of him.
