About Dominique

I am a licensed music educator that has experience working with students of all ages. I enjoy working with adults as much as I enjoy teaching children. My service stands out because I can help people reach their musical goals regardless of their age or musical background.

I love empowering students to create music on their own. My goal is to watch students grow to the point where they do not need my guidance to continue to enjoy, learn, and create music on their own. It is a bittersweet but truly satisfying conclusion.

Bachelor of Science in Music Education 2016

Attendance at Suzuki Conference of the Americas

Teaching private lessons for 9 years

About the lesson

Lessons start by you sharing what you already know or don't know with me. This gives me a guide of where to start in lessons- at the very beginning or reviewing and building on what you already know.

I have worked with adults and also students as young as three years old.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
It is important to know why you want to take lessons, for yourself and for your teacher.

If you want to take lessons as a hobby, it is important that you find a teacher that enjoys teaching lessons with that goal in mind. If you want to take lessons to greatly improve your skills by means of committed practice time, you will want to find a teacher that supports that and challenges you with assignments outside of the lesson.

If you want to learn to play by ear and learn pop music then you could be potentially frustrated if you end up with a teacher that is trained to teach you classically.
