About Chiara
I have been playing the piano for over 45 years and teaching—on and off—for more than 35 years. I work with students ages 8 through adult and truly thrive in helping young students and students with special needs (such as ADHD or mild autism) find freedom, confidence, and a sense of achievement through music, always grounded in compassion and patience.
My teaching focuses on the process of learning and building a skill, not on perfection. If your goal is for your student to become a professional pianist, I may not be the right fit. But if you want your student to develop a love of music, learn how to learn, and gain a lifelong skill they can enjoy for years to come, we may be a great match.
I am a mother of seven and a grandmother of one, and music has been a constant throughout my life. I’ve been reading music since I was five years old, and even now it sometimes strikes me what a rare and special gift that is. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of teaching more than 100 students.
After a hiatus of about ten years while pursuing a career in another field, I’m excited to bring piano teaching back into my life and to share the joy of music once again.
