About Adem
I teach students not only to play classical music, but also how to improvise using the same methodology the great composers trained with.
I have been a music teacher in New York for almost 20 years and am great with all ages.
I received a BA and MA in Music from the Aaron Copland School of Music at CUNY Queens College and a PhD in Musicology from Cornell University.
I started teaching piano at the Douglaston School of Music, Art, and Dance, while I was an undergraduate music major in college. Since then, I have gone on to teach music theory and history at the university level for over ten years, both in the United States and abroad.
Ph.D. in Musicology, Cornell University, 2015
M.A. in Music, CUNY Queens College, 2008
B.A. in Music, CUNY Queens College, 2006
