About Ivan

I am a National Board Certified Teacher with over 20 years experience teaching history and language arts. I have coached middle school and high school cross country and lacrosse. I have a passion to help students see in themselves the ability to accomplish what they think is difficult or challenging. Anyone can advance with the right frame of mind and guidance. Let's get started on accomplishing and advancing!

I love to help people discover their abilities and how they in turn can help themselves and others.

Teaching was a life long pursuit but I did not get into until after 11 years working in the corporate world. I have always had a passion to teach and guide and did so in my corporate life and in community inolvement.

About the lesson

Depending on the area of attention, I would ask for a writing sample and a quick survey of learning strengths and preferences

I have worked with the spectrum of age groups but the majority of my time was focused on gifted middle school and early high school students.
