About Willie
I got started teaching because I love working with kids. I love to teach them and see the growth they have over a school year. I am lucky enough to have the same group of students for two years in a row so I see their growth first hand!
I have a bachelors degree in middle childhood education and I am certified to teach 4-9th grade Language Arts and Social Studies.
I will be receiving my Masters in educational leadership in August if this year 2022!

When I meet a new student I get to know them first by asking about their interests and hobbies. Then I give them a chance to ask me any questions they might have about me.
I have worked with 5th and 6th graders in the classroom and I have tutored a third grader one-on-one on a variety of things.
I would tell the student to make sure the teacher has their best interest in mind. Make sure the teacher is able to help you in the areas you need help in before hiring them.
A recent event I was fond of was when I was helping my third grader with his vocabulary words in one of our sessions and he came back to me and got 100% on his vocabulary quiz. This was a great moment for that student.
