About Lesli

I am certified in General Ed, Special Ed, ESL, I am a certified and licensed Dyslexia therapist and provide services in-person and on lone. I provide tutoring in all areas; specially phonics, comprehension and reading.

I love when my students learn and have fun doing so. Building rapport is key to their academic, emotional and social success. I have been in Education for 20 years as a teacher, tutor, advocate and consultant. It is important to have relationships with parents and collaborate with other professionals.

I love people with unique abilities!!! I have an innate ability to build rapport and connect with my students and provide social and emotional support.

Scottish Rite Take Flight for Dyslexia, Special Ed, General Ed and ESL certification. I very skilled on the Special Ed and 504 process.

About the lesson

Speak with parents, assess needs and if parents have any Special Education or 504 paperwork, I like to review and see what goals and accommodations they have and need. I believe in getting to know the whole child and incorporating their personal learning style into all sessions.

I have worked with a diverse group of students ranging from specific learning disabilities to those on the Autism Spectrum.

Be honest and feel comfortable. Be you and laugh at yourself! Believe in yourself and make sure learning is fun!
