About Jed

Top Prep has been providing educational services to the Bayside/Oakland Gardens community for over 12 years. The SAT test prep program shares a space with a bustling after-school enrichment program with students of multiple age groups.

From courses for the college entrance exam SAT, to the specialized high school entrance exam (SHSAT), to one-on-one subject tutoring sessions, we pride ourselves in our personalized service by always going the extra mile and supporting local families with all their educational needs.

Rooted in Bayside, a culturally diverse community where families work hard and at the same time place a great emphasis on their children’s education and future, we understand local parents’ priorities. Parents can be assured that they are in good hands when it comes to their children’s academic advancement.

Director of Education Jed Levine is a passionate and dedicated educator with over 15 years experience in both classroom and one-on-one settings. A test prep specialist, Jed has taught in both the public and private sectors. Prior to entering the field of education, Jed was in social services working with at-risk youth, so he brings compassion and kindness to his work. Jed is an enthusiastic, creative thinker with a gift for utilizing a variety of settings and situations to help students of many different learning styles achieve understanding (and even have fun in the process)!

In his spare time, Jed loves to play the piano, do New York Times crossword puzzles, and travel to experience new places and meet interesting people of all backgrounds.

Top Prep offers a FREE SAT Open House Seminar followed by a FREE full length SAT Mock Exam and invites all parents and students to come!!!

9:30-10:30: SAT Open House Seminar (Parents + Students)

Join us for a 1-hour seminar for an overview of the SAT exam, the latest changes introduced, and learn about the key elements in building a study plan for your child. You’ll also hear from our SAT instructor, and learn about our SAT preparation program.

10:30-01:30: SAT Mock Exam (Students Only)

Full length proctored SAT exam. Test results along with analysis will be emailed to parents and students within 2-3 business days.

Space is limited - Advanced Registration required.
