About Amanda

Not only will students learn vocal technique, musicanship, but also the skils and resilience needed in the performing industry. A lot of this business is looking at your mindset and what is holding you back. We will also look at your thoughts and consciously choose thoughts that will serve you as a performer and as a person!

I love seeing my students make new connections with vocal technique and performing. I feel honored to teach and facilitate this type of growth in my students.

I started teaching when I was working at a vocal and dance studio in 2016.

I began singing and dancing at the age of five. I was involved in that all growing up. In high school I started doing musical theatre. My love for performing led me to earn a BFA in Music Dance Theatre from Brigham Young University. The highlight of my college career was being a feature singer and dancer with the prestigious performing group, the BYU Young Ambassadors. I was a part of the group for two years and toured to mainland China, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia including Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. I have worked regionally at theatres in Southern California and Utah is musical theatre productions. I worked as a professional dancer at Disneyland and Legoland Resort. I am now an assistant director at the One Voice Children's Choir.
I love the arts, and performing, and would love to help you hone your talent of singing, because I believe anyone can sing!

About the lesson

We'll have an introduction and discussion on expectations moving forward with lessons. I will note my student's goals in taking voice lessons and we'll make a plan of how to best achieve those goals. We'll warm up with some basic techniques. In lessons we'll cover everything from, but not limited to, correct posture, breathing tecnique, resonance, vowel modulation, different vocal styles and production, connecting and/or acting the song, and mindfulness etc. Each week we'll work on a song of the student's choice.

I have worked mostly with children ranging in ages from 4-18. However, I also feel comfortable working with adults because I believe anyone can learn to sing.
