Erica Cooper offers private voice and songwriting lessons in person on Bainbridge Island and virtually via Zoom.
With a background in Jazz Vocal Performance from Cornish College of the Arts and certification as a Health Coach through Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Erica blends professional vocal training, songwriting craft, and holistic wellness into a transformative learning experience.
She specializes in Pop, Rock, and Jazz, and works with singers and musicians of all levels.
Voice Lessons
Each voice lesson is personalized to help you strengthen your instrument, expand your range, and sing with confidence and freedom.
Lessons include:
Vocal warm-ups tailored to your voice
Technique for tone, control, and stamina
Breathwork and breathing exercises
Range expansion without strain or fatigue
Posture and body alignment
Nutrition tips for vocal clarity and endurance
Performance techniques to emotionally connect with your song and your audience

Songwriting Lessons
Erica helps singers and musicians discover their unique songwriting voice and turn small ideas into fully formed songs ready to be recorded.
Her songwriting approach integrates the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of creativity.
Lesson plans may include:
Basic music theory and chords
Understanding powerful pop chord structures
Finding and channeling daily inspiration
Writing poetry and developing story into song
