About Brea

Brea Sands started vocal training with Jessica Ford in 2016, and has since then gone on into pursuing a career in commercial music and TV. She has always loved both writing her own music and entertaining others, beginning at the early age of 8 years old. In high school, she was apart of her high school’s national award winning ensemble choir, where she went on to rank 6th chair in the 2014 TMEA All-State choir. She also has been apart of musicals such as Hairspray, Annie, Shrek the Musical, and High School Musical. She has over 10 years of dance training, training with performers such as “So You Think You Can Dance” alum Chelsea Hough. In 2015, she joined a girl group managed by Larry Fridie, former manager of the God father of soul, James Brown. In Fall of 2016, Brea went on an anti-bullying school tour with Choreographer and singer Daniel Thomas (credits include Mandisa, Florida Georgia Line, and Dance Moms) performing and speaking to thousands of kids ages 8-18. Brea also participated in the American Idol 2020 season, where she got to perform for Idol judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie.

Currently, she is a recording artist releasing new music, and is a student at the the 4th Wall Acting Studio in Nashville, TN. Brea is a fun, energetic singing teacher. She loves combining performance and basic singing techniques to get your young singer SINGING! She makes it so fun, any young boy or girl will truly benefit from Brea's outstanding coaching skills

Brea teaches beginner singing & performance lessons

I enjoy finding finding the superstar in young and old students alike! When I was younger, my first music/theater teacher always said the quote "Give a child a stage, and they all become stars." I believe that 100%, and that not only goes for children, but adults as well who have never been given the chance to shine. I love being able to witness and be apart of the light that shines when my students find it! It's within all of us.

About the lesson

My typical process for working with a new student typically begins with having said client prepare a song with the track for me. This is so I can get a good feel for where their ability is at where we need to begin. Then I like to go over the Jessica Ford technique and how we apply it to our everyday singing, while also establishing the correct way to healthily warm up our voice!

I've had students as young as 6 years old and students as old as 23. Some with huge personalities, and some that are very shy. I know how to adapt to any singer that I meet and bring the very best out of every student!

My favorite event that I've done definitely has to be when I went on a anti-bullying school tour. I had the opportunity to speak and sing to thousands of kids ages 8-18. It was something I always wanted to do and at the same time I got to make a difference and inspire others!
