About Jordan

I create my lessons based on what YOU need. I'm not the type of coach that gives everybody the same lesson every week. It's different and it's adaptable. Ear training is also something that isn't taught a lot and I wish someone taught it to me at a younger age... I had to teach MYSELF! I would hate to see someone go through what I went through. It can be frustrating to teach yourself without guidance. Allow me to be that guidance.

I love watching my students progress. There is nothing better than watching them finally find the note or finally finding their mix. The look that they give you like, "OMG! I DID IT!" is just so beautiful. I see these looks as little as 1 month into teaching and it is absolutely outstanding to watch people achieve their goals quicker than I did. At the end of the day, that is my goal. To give you the advantage I wish I had.

During my shows, I get asked a lot if I teach voice. I never really considered it until I realize how much of a high demand there is for people wanting specifically ME to teach them. A blessing in disguise. I absolutely love teaching.

About the lesson

With a new student, I like to learn as much as I can. Our surroundings can have an impact on our body's instrument so once I understand where the student is and what makes them comfortable, we start off by donig range check and talking about goals.

All ages.

I think the fact that I am so young really puts me at an advantage. I understand where the industry is at this time. I just graduated college so I know the most recent teachings of the industry. I also understand the pressure and I understand how quickly things are changing. I think it's super important to find someone who is able to relate to the student and someone who is adaptable. The industry is constantly changing and what people are looking for constantly changes. You need someone who is on top of that.

Ear training is very difficult. Which is why I like to start my students off with it as soon as possible. Having a strong relative pitch really puts you at an advantage. I was working with a student and her relative pitch is absolutely phenomenal. She is able to find specific notes and tell me what notes I am playing based off her training. She turned to me and said "you're the best vocal coach I've ever had".

What are your goals?

Where do you want to be in a year with your voice?

What are your dreams?

Is this a hobby or something you want to pursue for your career? (This one is super important to let your coach know because based on the answer to this, your lessons will be very different)

What is your comfortability level?

How far do you want to be pushed?

How much do you want this?

The industry is hard and if this is your career path that you have decided on, then buckle up baby! It's gonna be a fun ride but a lot of work. Let's get started!
