About Carl

I am a Voice Teacher and Acting Coach with nearly 10 years of experience.

I am a Voice Teacher and Acting Coach as well as a professional Actor, Singer and Dancer with over 10 years of experience.

I earned my Bachelors of Music with a focus in Musical Theatre Voice from the esteemed Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. My time at Westminster provided me the opportunity to learn from some of the greatest Vocal Technicians and Vocal Pedagogy Professors the world has to offer. I not only brought my own voice to places I never imagined I also found a passion for helping others achieve the same feat.

As a Voice Teacher I specialize in many different styles of music including classical, musical theatre and pop/rock and I am a master at helping my students find repertoire that fits their voice and personality. Good singing is great but good storytelling through singing is extraordinary! In addition to vocal technique and repertoire I love coaching my students through the acting of a song.

I also specialize in preparations for college auditions by selecting appropriate material including monologues and songs (based of the institutions specific requirements)

About the lesson

As your voice teacher I tailor your lessons to meet your needs. I will guide you through the proper way to warm up your body, breath and voice. We will focus on technique to improve your breath support, stamina and range. I will provide you with tips and tricks to sing in any style while still staying true to your natural voice.

Even the greatest singers don’t sound their best if they are singing the wrong songs. After getting to know you and your voice I will make repertoire suggestions that challenge you and let you SHINE!

Singing is so much more than sounding good...singing is storytelling! I will be your guide in discovering the meaning behind every word and note and help you to convey the story to your audience.

I have worked with students of all kinds! Young students who love to sing but have never had any formal training, high school and college students interested in pursuing music as a career, industry professionals and folks just looking for a new hobby.
