About Jennifer
I have a wealth of experience as a classical singer, conductor, and teacher. I am committed to helping each student find their natural singing voice, become more confident in performing, and discover the joy of music! I teach the Italian bel canto method of singing and emphasize this is a strong basis to sing any style of music. I have a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, where I studied under Metropolitan Opera Baritone, Timothy Noble. I have participated in master classes with the great Verdi soprano, Antonella Banaudi. Music and singing is my life, as I also conduct two community choruses and have worked with children and adult choruses over many decades. I am passionate about bringing a love of music and proper vocal technique to all my students.
It is my strong belief that every person can sing, regardless of ability, background, or experience. It is a wonderful joy and challenge for me to help each student find their natural singing voice and use it to express beauty. I have taught for over a decade, in the Boston-area, and each student and lesson is a new and exciting experience for learning.
I have a degree in Vocal Performance with a Minor in Italian Language and Literature. I have worked with top voice teachers and coaches. I am also a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and the Greater Boston Choral Consortium.

In your first lesson, we will chat a bit about your goals and experience. We will spend some time finding where your voice is comfortable and try some music reading and basic Solfeggio (Do Re Mi). I will request that you bring some songs you know so I can hear what you have worked on, but if you don't have any songs, that's okay, I can suggest some at the end of the lesson.
I have worked with students of all ages and abilities, from the very beginner to advanced post-bachelor-degree singers. I am confident and excited about working with special needs students as well.
