About Sonali

I help build confidence with singing for my students. I do this by teaching students the proper vocal warm-ups, breathing and techniques so they can get through the rough spots in their voice that they struggle with.

I like to work through every singer's personal goals and cater the lesson to their needs. I also support with vocal performance so if there is an audition coming up or they simply want to prepare for opportunities, I can support them with how they can shine!

I love promoting mindfulness and proper breathing. It is a game-changer in how you sing! I work well with kids (I have a toddler of my own) and adults. I enjoy taking people to their next level in music and I stay positive and uplifting with my approach. And finally, I've heard that people generally operate on 80% of their psychology and 20% skill. If the mind is right, the natural talent will obviously shine! My passion for mindfulness supports others in their goals to sing powerfully.

-I am vocally trained by the Seth Riggs vocal method (the legendary method that taught famous singers like Michael Jackson, Celine Dion and Stevie Wonder)

-I used to sing professionally for many years and have onstage experience as well as audition experience

-I have many years of recording experience as well

About the lesson

30 or 60 minute lessons consist of vocal warm-ups, breath work, and song work. You pick a song of choice or, I am always happy to support with picking the right music for your voice, and you bring the original and karaoke version to the lesson (or email me beforehand with the materials). We start with warm-ups and then do the song work, working through any rough patches. We continue to work on that song as the next few lessons progress depending on how confident you feel with it and how it is turning out. Then we move on to other songs.
