About Delaney

Hello and welcome to Soul Fountain Studio! My name is Delaney Wilson and i have been singing and writing music for over ten years. I have attended numerous events in choir including all district, all state, and the Young Singers project here in the Hampton roads area. I have successfully learned how to write my own lyrics and compositions and hope to spread my knowledge to other aspiring artists. I enjoy being able to help people express themselves musically, and to learn from my students as well. I love to help people achieve their goals, and most of all to help with their overall progression as an artist.

I started in high school, I became section leader of our class and eventually moved to individualized sessions outside of school. Once I graduated, I continued to market what I had to offer through social media websites and kept a steady pace of students.

I have been in a choir for most of my life, and over the last five years have taken courses on recording, and composition. I have landed several auditions involving choir as well as local performances. I have experience with a multitude of vocal styles, and have experience in piano as well.

About the lesson

When I meet a new student, my first priority is understanding what they wish to gain from my services, and to help make an individualized lesson plan to help them achieve their goals.

I have worked with children, ranging from the ages of 10-17, I have also worked with adults within my band to help with backing vocal as well as lead vocal tecniques.

I would advise the student to be themselves, and to never be afraid of speaking up about what they wish to accomplish. Being a teacher means that you have to be capable of not only teaching, but listening.

Last year I went to Cleveland, where the Rock Hall of Fame is located. I remember seeing David Bowie's, "Ziggy Stardust" outfit in the flesh, and got the chills. David Bowie is by far my biggest musical inspiration, and always will be. The entire experience of being there is something I will never forget.
