About Amahni

Amahni is a patient and dedicated tutor with several years of experience helping students of all ages succeed academically. In Sept. 2020, she began her own private tutoring practice, Teach Me Ms. Amahni, to help families and students thrive during the online school year. A 4.0 student and university graduate, Amahni has experience working with students ranging in age from preschoolers to adults. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in humanities and is currently working toward her certification in early childhood education. Since 2007, Amahni has taught students how to read, helped them improve their Spanish, French, and English skills, and tutored in a variety of subjects. In 2013, her language skills landed her a position as a translator for the Special Olympics held in Germany. Throughout college, Amahni worked with a wide range of young people, including those with special needs and the gifted. She has served as a teacher’s aide in public schools throughout Orange County and Long Beach and tutored privately to families in underserved communities. WHY AMAHNI? If there are two things that distinguish Amahni from another tutor, they are the level of care she pours into each student and that she has been at both ends of the academic success spectrum. Having failed classes and later gone on to earn a 4.0, she knows what it feels like to struggle greatly in school but also what it feels like to overcome that struggle with the help of someone who believes in you. She cares deeply about her students and will learn and do whatever she can to help them become the best that they can be.
