About Ashley

Compared to the other amazing tutors on this service, I will most likely be very close to your child's age and create a stronger bond in order for them to receive the best service I can offer. When helping your child I will make sure they know why it is important to do a certain equation or use certain vocabulary. I know when I was in school the teachers not explaining why something is important made it harder grasp the concept. Many of my past "students", have said that I am very patient and unlike others do not make them feel guilty for needing a tutor. Rather have them feel that they are not alone and it is not just them that are confused.

I have been tutoring for years. Ever since middle school, I was always part of the designated tutors for all grades and teachers would sit me next to the kid who struggled the most in class in order to help guide them.

When it comes to tutoring I will be using google meets in order to present my IPad screen. Now if this does not work for you I am open to new

I struggled with math in middle school, and could never grasp the concepts because teachers never explained the reason for each step. After I received tutoring myself it became very easy to grasp those concepts because my tutor gave me certain strategies, that would help me understand new concepts without relying on my teacher.

I have been tutoring since I was in middle school with all grades within the school. Once I entered high school, I became the on-site tutor after school in the library with a couple of my classmates. I have helped many of people of my own age improve their time management and improve their studying skills.

About the lesson

I will have the student communicate with me what they struggle with most, in order for me to get an idea of what things we need to focus on. Once we establish what they struggle most with, I will set up a plan for the student to follow to improve those skills within their daily life. When we have our meetings I will explain why the steps in any subject are important and make sure they have a clear understanding of each new concept.

I have worked with a handful of students, from elementary to high school.

Personally I recommend when looking for a tutor, find one that is closer to the student's age. I found it easier to understand and want to listen to someone who is closer to my age, or else it felt like you had another teacher, which is not what you should look for. You want aid for your student, to guide them and teach along the way.
