About Kimberly
Knowing Spanish has been so beneficial in my own life that I cannot help but want to share it with others. I have been teaching since 1985 and tutoring online since 2016. I have experience with middle school - adult age groups and with beginner through advanced levels. My strength is tailoring lessons to fit your learning style.
Now accepting students in grades 7-12 or university students whose are currently enrolled in a Spanish class for credit.
I love to help people learn Spanish. I enjoy the challenge of helping each student learn HOW to learn a new language. I see my role as helping them become independent learners.
I have a degree in Spanish from the University of Texas, where I spent one year in an exchange program studying at the Autonomous University of Nuevo León in Monterrey, Mexico. I also have 35 years experience teaching Spanish in grades 6-12, tutoring all levels of college Spanish, and many years teaching adult continuing education classes.

Typically I will talk to the student or the parent prior to the first session to introduce myself and to establish goals. Then, I will do some assessment activities during the first session. As we move forward, I will work with materials from the student's class and supplement as necessary. I like to incorporate review into every session to maximize long-term learning.
