About Nicole
I have over 20 years experience playing violin. I teach beginning violin and piano in the Davis area to children, teens, and adults, and I have been tutoring others in music since I was of junior high age. I enjoy sharing my passion for music with others, and I believe that music is for everyone. I teach technique, note reading, music theory, sight reading, and musical performance. Until I have a studio of my own, I currently travel to students' homes to teach. I aim to make my lessons fun and engaging, and I always bring my sense of humor with me. Students have the opportunity to perform in twice yearly recitals as well as for family and friends.
My teachers include Grammy-nominated violinist and conductor Angelo Moreno, and Sacramento Jazz Hall of Fame inductee Frank Dupree (pianist and musician). I have played professionally as well as part of a group, and at venues including, but not limited to, the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts for the annual Wennberg Festival, and the San Francisco Opera House as part of a symphony orchestra. I have also played with the UCDavis symphony orchestra.
