Amber is an excellent teacher. She’s patient, enthusiastic and has a definite passion for music.

I took up the violin after a lapse of 50 years, and was very fortunate to find Amber. She is an extremely dedicated and inventive teacher, who has helped me overcome my limitations, while making it fun to play. She is the most positive teacher I’ve ever had—for example, if you play out of tune, or with the wrong timing, instead of just correcting you, she says, “almost”, which is so much more encouraging than saying that you were off. I look forward to my classes with her, and she has made me want to practice a lot so as to keep making the very visible improvements in my playing.

I have been taking violin lessons from Amber for almost 3 years now and hands down Amber is the absolute best teacher! She genuinely cares about her students and has a way of making me understand things when I'm struggling. I cannot imagine taking lessons with anyone else. Thank you Amber!

Amber is an awesome teacher! She has a delightful personality and is a masterful musician who skillfully teaches just what her students need to grow as musicians. She also creates a wonderful community of learners - a music family - with her students and offers opportunities to go to concerts, have musical travel adventures, and learn together.

As an adult learner, I wanted a teacher that has the skill to take me as far as I can go; but, just as important, provide a nurturing environment for a recreational musician. Amber has the skills and personality to do both. She also organizes studio events such as recitals and concerts as well as social events to have fun get to know the rest of the studio members.

Amber has great personality, someone to have fun during music lessons. I have three kids (now all grown). All my three kids took violin lessons when they were young, but none of them continued more than 4-5 years. Often violin teachers are very methodical, and make lessons boring. But Amber is very flexible. I had no formal previous music training, but she is teaching me about chords (on violin) and other music theories as well, and most important of all making violin lessons fun.
