About Monica
I am a DII All-American collegiate athlete. This season, as a middle blocker, I had 266 kills with a .348 hitting percentage and 98 blocks in 29 games. I'm Italian, and before joining my college team, I had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge of volleyball techniques and tactics in Italy. I played four seasons in the second national league (A2) and one in the first league (A1).
Most of my success came from learning from great coaches and players in a country with a long tradition for volleyball, considered one of the highest level worldwide. Italian coaches are hired by many nationals team, including Serbia, the 2022 World League winner. Some of the best volleyball players worldwide play in Italy, including 7 out of 12 US Olympic gold medalists: Micha Hancock, Jordyn Poulter, Jordan Larson, Annie Drews, Jordan Thompson, Haleigh Washington and Kelsey Robinson.
I now have many years of experience playing and coaching volleyball and a deep knowledge of what exercises can really improve your technique and vision of the game. But the most important thing, volleyball is my greatest passion!

First lesson: get to know each other, evaluation of starting point and set goals and movements to work on
Following lessons: The structure of a lesson is as follows:
Warm up game: begin in a funny way but exploring different coordination patterns
Technique focus: Explanation of one specific movement (pass, defense, set, approach, hitting and more). Exercises with focus on details and corrections
Play: Put the specific movement in a game like context, have fun, stimulate competitiveness and get used to point like situation. Example: 1vs1 game only passing the ball.
This approach can be tailored to ALL AGES, ALL LEVELS and DIFFERENT NUMBER OF ATHLETES, from personal classes to groups. Difficulty of exercises and games will be adjusted and personalized.
